Since we first came together for World Childless Week in 2021, the #NomoCrones (nomo = not-mother and crone is not an insult!) have been meeting each solstice and equinox for a series of informal online zoom gatherings called ‘Fireside Wisdom with Childless Elderwomen‘. And we got the band back together again, with an even BIGGER lineup of amazing childless elderwomen World Childless Week 2021 to discuss the often tricky issue of ‘Leaving a Legacy’ as a childless person, as part of a whole day of programming for the ‘Leaving a Legacy’ themed-day for World Childless Week 2021 on Wednesday 15th September.
This ‘Leaving a Legacy’ free webinar for World Childless Week is hosted by Jody Day, (IRL): who is 57 and is the Founder of Gateway Women, the global friendship & support network for childless women. She is a psychotherapist and the author of ‘Living the Life Unexpected: How to Find Hope, Meaning and a Fulfilling Future Without Children’. A World Childless Week Ambassador, she is childless due to unexplained infertility with her ex-husband. She lives in Ireland with her partner, his mother and their dog and is working on a novel and her new ‘Conscious Childless Elderwomen’ project: www.gateway-women.com

SUE NEWSOME (UK) is is 60 and a psychosexual therapist, coach and educator and in 2013 was named ‘Sex Therapist of the Year’ by Outsiders, the UK charity that provides sex and relationship support to physically and socially disabled people. Kate’s blog for Psychology Today, “Unapparent,” explores the lives and issues faced by non-parents in a pronatalist world.
