THIS WORKSHOP IS NOW FULL. EMAIL JODY@GATEWAY-WOMEN.COM TO BE ADDED TO THE WAITLIST.
There is life after childlessness, despite what the media, your friends, your family and your inner critic would have you believe! A meaningful and fulfilling life that makes sense to YOU, because you built it from the inside out.
You are warmly invited to join Jody Day & Kelly Brandt in beautiful, rural West Cork, Ireland, for the weekend of Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th April 2026 to experience the transformative joy of the Reignite Weekend for yourself.
The Reignite Weekend is for you if you’re:
- A woman who wanted to have children, but it didn’t work out for any reason: infertility; didn’t meet a willing or suitable partner; your partner didn’t want (more) children; a chronic illness; a badly timed breakup, etc, etc. There are so many ways this can happen.
- Struggling with relationships with friends and family as ‘the odd one out’ and really missing having a supportive group of women friends to journey through life with.
- Wondering where your mojo went and where the hell to start looking for it!
- Lonely and confused about your place in society when all you can see around you are mothers, grandmothers and families.
- Needing to make some changes to your life, but feel too tired, sad & uninspired to know what to try next.
- Worried about growing old without children and grandchildren.
- Furious that you ‘Did all the right things’ and have still ‘ended up’ in this difficult position.
- Ready for a Plan B (C, D or Z!) but are either convinced that you’ll screw it up, or scared that you’ll never find a meaningful alternative to a life centred on motherhood.
The Reignite Weekend is designed for: women of any age or sexuality, partnered or single, who wanted to have children and for some reason, it didn’t work out. If you’re keen to move forward and create a more meaningful and fulfilling life without children, it’s for you. Childless stepmothers and those who have experienced adoption breakdown are welcome. The Reignite Weekend won’t be a good fit for you if you are childfree by choice, trying to conceive, still actively trying to pursue parenthood, or hopeful of creating a biological or adoptive family in the future. If you’re not sure if it’s right for you, we’ll be happy to discuss that with you before you book – contact Jody by email at jody@gateway-women.com
Your facilitators:

Over the course of the Reignite Weekend, you will:
- Meet your people – a group of accepting, compassionate and warm Nomos (not-mothers);
- Unpack the assumptions that the culture has about motherhood (and non-motherhood) and let go of what doesn’t ‘fit’ you;
- Look at where you are holding onto unhelpful ideas and shame about the life choices you’ve made (and the non-choices too), and which have led to you ‘ending up’ without the family you hoped for;
- Explore and understand unresolved grief about your childlessness – grief which our culture neither acknowledges, understands, nor allows (and consequently, neither do we, sometimes);
- Re-examine the dreams and goals you had for your life before you became convinced that having a baby was the only thing that mattered;
- Reignite your passion for your life and start thinking about what your ‘Plan B’ (or X, Y, Z!) might be for a meaningful and fulfilling life without children;
- There are more of us than you may realise, and we’re actually a bunch of pretty interesting, real and courageous women. At Reignite, you’ll find a safe place for connection and belonging.
Cost: Including lunch on both days, coffee, water & snacks, and all materials, the full price is EUR €450.
- Full price for the weekend is EUR €450.
- There is an earlybird offer of EUR €400 if you book and pay your deposit at least six weeks before the weekend.
- To reserve a spot, please email jody@gateway-women.com with ‘Reignite Ireland’ in the subject message, and she will respond within 48 hours with next steps, including: how to pay your deposit of EUR €100 (you’ll be invoiced later for the balance); an intake questionnaire for you to complete; and how to schedule the 30-minute, intake Zoom chat with her and Kelly.
- We can offer payment plans for the balance amount, at no extra cost to you, if that makes it possible for you to attend. Full payment will be required before the workshop, but we can break it into smaller regular payments to suit your budget. Please let us know if you wish to discuss a payment plan on your intake questionnaire.
- We suggest you don’t book accommodation or airfares until you receive confirmation of your place on the course, which will not be until after the Zoom with Jody/Kelly. We want to be absolutely sure that this is the right workshop, at the right time, for you, to ensure that you get the very best out of this powerful weekend.

We will get you here!
Accommodation: There is just one accommodation option nearby (in Courtmacsherry), but plenty more in local towns, and we’ll share them with you once your place is confirmed. However, whatever accommodation you do book, please make sure it is refundable in case the workshop has to be cancelled for public health reasons.
Public Health Issues due to Coronavirus, etc: We follow HSE (the Irish Health Service Executive) recommendations. Should the workshop need to be cancelled for public health reasons, we will refund 100% of the course fee, including your deposit. You will be responsible for your travel and accommodation costs, so please make sure any bookings you make are fully refundable.
Payment/Refund Policy: Your EUR €100 deposit holds a potential place for you on the weekend, but is not confirmed until after your intake interview with Jody/Kelly. In the unlikely event that we think this isn’t the right time or workshop for you, we will refund your booking deposit. It is also refundable should you choose to cancel within 14 days of receiving confirmation of your place, but not for any other reason, nor if you cancel nearer the time.
Workshop Delivery & Cancellation Policy
- Your €100 booking deposit holds a potential spot for you in the workshop until your intake Zoom call with Kelly/Jody. Once your place has been confirmed, it is refundable to you if you change your mind (within 14 days) about accepting a spot on the weekend, or if we agree that this isn’t the right workshop for you at this time.
- Once your place on the weekend is confirmed (which will be after the intake Zoom call with Kelly/Jody), we’ll send you an invoice for the balance, which is then due within 14 days (or by a payment plan, as mutually agreed). If you do not adhere to this agreement, your place will be offered to someone else on the waiting list, and you will forfeit your deposit.
- Please note that your workshop fees are non-refundable. However, you can transfer (once only) to a different Reignite Weekend (which will be with our UK or Australian team; this will be the only one with Jody in 2026), if needed, and if you provide at least six weeks’ notice. If you decide that you are NOT going to attend (or transfer), please let us know as soon as possible so that we can offer your place to someone else, as there will most likely be a waiting list for this weekend. We are unable to refund any travel or accommodation costs, so please make sure any bookings you make are refundable.
- Should you wish to cancel, we would ask that you provide as much notice before the event, preferably six weeks at least, if you can, as it means that someone else can take the space if there is sufficient notice. Should we be able to resell your place, we may be in a position to refund your fees, minus the €100 deposit, but this will be entirely at our discretion.
- If the workshop is cancelled by us due to Covid, or other unforeseen circumstances at our end, 100% of your fees (including deposit) will be refunded to you (minus your accommodation and transport costs, so please make sure these are refundable).
